Behnaz’s passion for hair started at age five, when she realized she loved playing with her dolls’ hair. Not satisfied with the dolls’ hairstyles, she cut and styled them to her own liking. When she ran out of dolls to make over, her next clients were her two sisters: she gave them a new hairstyle every day from her own imagination, and even designed and made clothes to complement their new looks.
After earning a university degree in child psychology and working in that field for many years, Behnaz realized her true calling was in the creative arts, specifically cosmetology. She has now been styling hair for 39 years, since 1987, building great relationships with industry professionals and, most importantly, with wonderful clients who make every workday rewarding. Salon Bravissimo’s management and staff, along with its professional and artistic environment, inspire her to keep growing as an artist.
Behnaz is an experienced master hair stylist. Her advanced haircutting education includes Trevor Sorbie International, Toni & Guy, and the Vidal Sassoon Academies in Santa Monica, London and San Francisco. Her passion is precision cutting and color: bobs, pixies and short haircuts, Asian and Korean-style haircuts, highlights, lowlights, balayage and ombré, all designed to keep her clients’ hair healthy and easy to style every day.
Behnaz is committed to education, continually taking advanced courses to learn state-of-the-art cutting, coloring and highlighting techniques. Her relentless pursuit of client satisfaction and perfection makes her a proud member of Salon Bravissimo, one of Sacramento’s most awarded salons.
